Laura Golda Launches Ghanaian Krobo Collection Bracelets
One of my favorite accessories, besides my waist beads of course, is a nice set of bracelets. I like to wear accessories that not only look good, but make me feel good. My all time favorites are my Krobo Bracelets.
LG bracelets are made from various healing gemstones with a touch of Ghanaian local Krobo beads. The Krobo beads are said to bring wealth and prosperity and help people to regain lost wealth as well.
Krobo is a municipal located in the eastern part of Eastern Region and has Somanya as its capital town. Its been documented that the Krobos have been making beads to date from as early as the 1920s but despite limited archaeological evidence, it is believed that Ghanaian powder glass bead making dates further back. Bead making in Ghana was first documented by John Barbot in 1746. The Krobos makes all types of beads e.g. glass seed beads for waist bead making, glass bracelet and necklace beads, etc in many color shades.
It is not easy to find quality, original Krobo beads. I traveled to the Eastern Region of Ghana and came back with the ones used in my news collection. On my next trip to Krobo for beads shopping I am goin with you.
Just stay with me!!!
